Activities and Interests
Outside of journalism-related activities and work, I spend my time volunteering for Chapel Hill Bible Church on the College Collective Lead Team. I work alongside church leadership and a team of students to lead the college ministry at the church. Specifically, I work with freshman on the Freshman Dinners program, fostering community for new students at UNC-CH.
In addition, I am a member of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at UNC-CH. Some of my favorite things are French press coffee, photography and spending time with my family.
From 2016 to 2019, while in high school, I staffed for TeenPact Leadership Schools, a program which teaches students about the state political process and how to be an active, servant leader in their community. I travelled to various state capitals to teach classes with the program, including Augusta, Maine, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Additionally, in high school, I served as my school Student Council class president for two years, as well as vice president for two years. Finally, I served as a North Carolina Governor’s Page in the summer of 2018.
